We will endeavor to keep you all advised and updated on the plans via this web site as we go along. We will always maintain a good level of entertainment and are keen to hear from anybody or any organisations that would like to add to the day. Please feel free to email me for more info.

Mitre 10, Prebenson Dr, Hydrabad Road, Ahuriri By-pass, Hardinge Road, Marine Parade, SH2, Clive, Railway Rd, Station Rd, Groome Place.
Passengers to be onsite no later than 8.45am.
Trucks load passengers at 8.50 – 8.55am.
Hastings
Leave MITRE 10 MEGA at 9.15am sharp:
Mitre 10, Caroline Rd, Frederick St, Tomoana Rd, St Aubyn St, Karamu Rd, SH2, Station Rd, Groome Place.
Passengers to be onsite no later than 9.00am.
Trucks load passengers at 9.05 – 9.10am.

Mitre 10 Mega Ride in a Truck Day October 19th 2013 Overview and Thanks
First things first, thanks to all the teams at Mitre 10 Mega Napier and Hastings for becoming our main sponsor here in Hawkes Bay, with out the good nature of this community minded businesses these events just simply would not go ahead. Thanks Mitre 10 Mega.
Saturday the 19th of October 2013 saw yet again another fine contingent of dedicated and trustworthy transport operators and drivers get together for our biennial event to raise funds for local Child Care Health in what has become a bit of an industry talking point around the country called the Mitre 10 Mega Ride in a Truck Day.
On behalf of all the organising committee I would like to thank all our helper’s, organisers, Bank staff and most importantly all the Transport Sponsors who assisted in the build up to the day and the prizes donned on the day. Thanks. To the staff and management of Turners and Growers a huge thanks for prepping the site before the day and your most welcoming support over the years in letting us host Hawkes Bays biggest transport gathering and their support for Trucking for Hawkes Bay Child Care and in support of the “Little Elms” Charitable Trust.
We had near on 200 trucks gather at both Napier and Hastings Mitre 10 Mega Stores and then in cavalcade to the Site at Whakatu in what I can only describe, and many would agree, as an absolute spectacular line up of gear ranging from the old timers to the most modern pieces of equipment. Thanks to the vintage boys who travelled from Dannevirke, Taupo and all regions to partake in our day, it was great to see so many turn up. To the drivers, owners and operators of the trucks who spent literally hours of their time completely free of charge but not without cost, to make sure their pride and joys were clean, tidy, well presented and all the blingy bits blinging. Well Done.
Planning again has started for the 2015 event. Mitre 10 Mega Ride in a Truck Day will be held on October 10th, 2015, again leaving from both Hastings and Napier Mitre 10 Stores meeting at Turners and Growers, Whakatu, where the usual fun and attractions will keep all kids of varying ages entertained.
Tickets for both the Cavalcade Ride to Whakatu and the rides on site will be available from both Mitre 10 Mega Stores in the proceeding months (from July 2015). Check out the Notice Boards at both stores or keep an eye on this website right here for updates.
